Professional Expertise

Dr. Ernest Tashobya Katwesigye is a distinguished Christian Lawyer, Writer, Transformational Theology & Leadership Scholar, and educationist. His extensive expertise spans Anti-Corruption, Public Law, Administrative Law, Corporate Law and Governance, Nonprofit and FBO Governance, Transformational Theology and Leadership, Practical Theology, Christian and Youth Ministry, and Christian Education. He is a Lawyer, Author, Teacher, Christian Minister, Mentor, Coach, and Anti-Corruption Practitioner. Ernest is also an Oakseed (alumnus of the Institute for National Transformation) and contributes to various Boards.

Educational Background



Dr. Katwesigye holds a Bachelor of Laws from Makerere University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Centre, and a Master of Business Administration (Distinction). He also earned a Diploma in Ministry from Glad Tidings Bible College and a PhD in Christian Education from Zoe Life Theological College, USA. Additionally, he is a Chartered Secretary and a Doctor of Transformational Leadership Candidate at Bakke Graduate University. As an alumnus and Instructor at the Institute for National Transformation, his educational journey underscores his commitment to lifelong learning and leadership.

Professional Roles

Ernest serves as a Supervisor, Prosecution at the Inspectorate of Government (Uganda). He is also a part-time lecturer at Glad Tidings Bible College, where he teaches Christian Education, and at Uganda Technology and Management University, where he lectures on Law, Management, and Business courses. His commitment to education and leadership is evident in his diverse teaching roles and board memberships, including positions at the Centre for Advanced Strategic Leadership (CASTLE) Think Tank, The Oakseed Association, Scripture Union of Uganda, Child Evangelism Fellowship Uganda, and Glad Tidings Bible College.

Leadership and Mentorship



Ernest chairs the Board of Directors at Transform Educational Centre, a Christian Secondary School in Kasangati Town Council, Wakiso district. He also runs the Transform Youth Mentorship Program, TGIM (Thank God It’s Monday), a weekly Zoom conversation about work-related matters, and an online Book Reading Club on WhatsApp, demonstrating his dedication to mentoring the next generation.


Ministry and Family Life

A dedicated born-again Christian, Ernest ministers at Kasangati Full Gospel Church, where he serves as a Deacon responsible for the Discipleship Ministry, Youth Ministry, and Projects. He is also the Deputy Minister for Education in the National Fellowship for Born-Again Pentecostal Churches in Uganda (NFBPCU) and provides legal advice to the Full Gospel Churches of Uganda.

Dr. Katwesigye is married to Zebia, and together they have three children: a girl and two boys. His family life is a cornerstone of his personal and professional endeavors, reflecting his commitment to faith, education, and community.
